  • Overview

    Under the supervision of the Preschool Director, the Clerical Office Assistant shall perform the administrative office duties of the Preschool program. The assistant is responsible for answering phones, provide quality customer service, checking families in, monitoring expenditures for the Red Bank Preschool Expansion grant, and assist in all office administrative duties.


    1. Assist Director with ordering of supplies and code monthly invoices for the Expansion grant, keeping track of grant spending and working with the Controller
    2. Assist Preschool Director and teachers with copying and clerical duties
    3. Participate and assist with the Center Family Events
    4. Assist Family Liaison with communication
    5. Assist in assuring quality customer service, through phone answering.
    6. Assist the director when emergencies arise during program hours.
    7. Assure office is organized and presentable.
    8. Responsible to report any suspected child abuse.
    9. Act in accordance with the YMCA philosophy, goals, and policies and procedures while working.


    The employee must be mature, responsible, and have experience in bookkeeping and office duties. The employee must possess skills in typing, computer operations, communications, organizing, and the ability to follow through to completion on assigned tasks. Employee must have positive attitude and great communication skills. Bilingual preferred.
